Join the Portland Water District and partners at the fifth annual Trail Day, held on the Sebago Lake Land Reserve! Trail Day is happening on Saturday, September 30th from 1pm to 3:30pm. In the event of inclement weather the event will be held at the same time on Sunday, October 1st.We welcome you to join us for one of the following events:-Learn to Kayak 1:15-2:45pm (ages 8 and up)Learn recreational kayaking skills and tips in this clinic hosted by Sebago Trails Paddling Co. After your instruction put your new skills to the test and paddle around the pond! All equipment provided.-Forest Flow Yoga 1:45-2:45pm (ages 8 and up)Join a YMCA Group Exercise Instructor for a full body yoga workout that incorporates body weight exercises while using the breath to stay mindful. This is all all-levels class with modifications offered. Bring your own mat. -Radical Ropes Course and Climbing Wall Adventures 1:30-3:00pm (ages 5 and up)Challenge yourself on our ropes course elements and 50' climbing wall all under the supervision of experienced YMCA summer camp counselors.-Woods Walk and Talk 1:00-3:00pm (adults)Join us for a guided walk to learn about the forest and how it helps protect Sebago Lake. The approximately 2.4 mile route traverses varied terrain and will include some areas with short, steep inclines.-Family Trail Scavenger Hunt 1:00-3:30pm, staggered start times between 1 and 2:30pm (families with children ages 4-12)Bring your family to explore the trails guided by a nature-themed scavenger hunt designed by Standish Parks and Recreation. A scavenger hunt guide, trail map and nature discovery tools will be provided to each group of participants. When registering, select one ticket for your group at a starting time of your choice. Participants will begin at staggered times between 1:00 and 2:30 to avoid congestion. The event is self-guided but will end by 3:30.
