Product Description

Things are beginning to evolve for the Zoo Crew. Drake Bell has passed the bar exam, accepted a new position, and begun a new phase of his legal career. His first case to walk through the door is in defense of a young woman that was the driver in an accident that left a young cyclist in the hospital. She accepts her guilt, but something about her story strikes a chord with Drake, causing him to dig a little deeper.

What starts as an attempt to shield the young woman from the misguided crusade of a prosecutor serving ulterior motives soon begins to shift, taking things in a direction that Drake never could have anticipated. Within days he finds himself on a quest that is part medical mystery and part history lesson, trying in earnest to understand the condition afflicting his patient and what it means for the situation she now finds herself in.

Again armed with the myriad skills of the Crew, he begins to uncover a trail that stretches back more than 100 years, involving some of the oldest wealth and industry in the state, and those that would do anything to continue protecting it.

This story is a joy to read. The characters are very easy to like so you enjoy reading about their various adventures. A young lawyer and his friends try to help a young woman charged in a motor vehicle accident where a young girl is severely injured. This book is definitely worth your time and money.

5Dustin hasn't written a bad one yet
By Timothy Myer
Dustin hasn't written a bad one yet. I enjoy the zoo series. Each novel gives texture to the previous stories and allows the author to really flesh out the returning characters. I did find one tiny flaw. I am a retired health professional, so when something about that appears in a novel I take notice. Optometrists in my state have a degree known as OD. They are licensed to determine refractive correction using spectacles and contact lenses. Their purview in eye diseases is limited to refractive correction. Opthamologists are licensed MD's who specialize in diseases of the eye such as "moonblink". They may emply optometrists as part of their overall practice of dealing with diseases of the eye.

5What Friends Will Do For Friends
By Ralph 2
The Zoo Crew. For unlikely friends that always have each other's backs. That would go "to the mattress" for the others. Great characters, great plot, great storytelling. Just enough suspense to keep it moving and the whole deal comes together into a fantastic read about honor, duty and friends.
